High Impact at Scale:
High-Integrity, Low-Cost Carbon Removals and Reforestation

Building Africa’s Carbon Future,
One Forest at a Time.
Delivering Impact Across
Five Core Dimensions

Climate Change Mitigation
Carbon Removal Through Long-Term Reforestation
We generate high-integrity carbon removals by restoring degraded land with a mosaic of native and exotic species.
Our projects are designed for permanence (100+ years), conservative accounting and verification under Verra’s VM0047 methodology.

Reforestation and Sustainable Wood
Establishing Sustainably Managed Timberlands
We create a new wood resource, becoming a leading supplier of FSC certified wood into the Indian Ocean and Persian Gulf, one of the world’s largest wood deficit areas.

Biodiversity
Restoring Ecosystems, not Monocultures
We prioritize ecological restoration by planting diverse, site-appropriate species and encouraging natural regeneration.
This approach enhances habitat diversity and quality, strengthens ecosystem resilience and delivers significant biodiversity gains.

Socio-Economic Development
Creating Lasting Value for Local Communities
We create employment, build skills and implement livelihood and large community development programs.
Our model aligns carbon removal and reforestation with improved livelihoods and shared economic value.

Attractive Profitability
Outlook for Appropriate Risk-Adjusted Returns
Returns generated by multiple income streams: Carbon removal credits, forestry and potentially other ecosystem services.
Our Company
Forest Landscapes is a vertically integrated developer, owner and operator of afforestation, reforestation, and revegetation (ARR) projects that is managed by the preeminent local in-country foresters and other professionals. We are a private Norwegian limited company with operating subsidiaries in Africa.
Our Projects
Through our Mozambican subsidiary Florestal do Norte (FdN), we are restoring degraded land in the Nampula province of Northern Mozambique to generate verified carbon removals, sustainable timber, local employment, food security programs and local infrastructure like schools and water sources. We partner with investors, carbon removal buyers, and non-profits who share our vision of restoring nature, empowering communities, and building Africa’s low-carbon future.
Our Impact
Our main co-benefits are employment and poverty alleviation in remote rural areas where there are few alternatives for paid work. Forest Landscapes (FL) and its subsidiaries are about people, the environment and local economies. We emphasize a holistic approach to renewable natural resources management.
